As per sources, an official complaint was lodged at the Saroor Nagar police station against alleged remarks made by Rajamouli demeaning to Hanuman. They called for the police’s intervention, stating that such comments could disrupt the fabric of secularism and affect sentiments of millions worshiping Hanuman reverentially.
Apart from lodging a complaint, the association wishes the police to charge Rajamouli under the PS Act. Their petition also includes demand for preventive measures-another aspect they have stressed upon. Members have insisted that authorities should make certain that public figures do not make inappropriate or insensitive statements regarding the religious icons of Hinduism in the future.
