Fake IIMT Ad: A video circulating on X has sparked controversy regarding a commercial from the IIMT Group of Colleges that asserts Puneet Gautam, one of its students, received a ₹1.8 crore annual compensation plan. The now-viral video shows Puneet hoarding along the side of the road while others make fun of the phony claim.
After recording the hoarding, the man in the video cynically remarks, “Look here, IIMT says they gave a package of ₹1.8 crore.” Are you aware of this person’s current activities? He sells ice cream for a living. After that, he records another young man, accuses Puneet, and says he hasn’t received such a lucrative offer. “IIMT fraud, how much did they pay you for the photo?” asks another voice in the video. while another jokes, “Gave nothing, but got the picture taken for free.”
Audience Reaction:
Social media users have been incensed by the video and have accused some private institutions and coaching centers of deceiving pupils by using inflated or fabricated placement figures. A user commented, “This is just the same old game of the coaching mafia gang.” Someone commented, “The looting continues, it’s not about studies, it’s all about money.” “Don’t fall for the false dreams sold by big coaching centers,” said the third customer.

IIMT College Response:
To this incident, IIMT College, Greater Noida, has responded and released a press release. In their response, it is said that, “It is shameful and unfortunate that some mischievous elements are spreading false and insulting content against the IIMT group of colleges. They have tried to compare our proud alumni with an unknown ice cream vendor and labelled it as a fraud. We strongly condemn this act. It is fake, baseless, and a deliberate attempt to defame IIMT’s reputation.”
