A tragic case emerged from Chennai recently. A man married with big dreams and hopes. The family welcomed the bride warmly. Wedding night preparations were made carefully. The bride’s shocking words changed everything completely.
Augustine Joshua lived in Purasaiwalkam. He used a matrimonial website for matchmaking. He met a twenty-four year old woman. She lived in Tiruvallur district originally. Both liked each other immediately. They married in front of elders quickly.
Joshua’s marriage was a dowry-free marriage. The bride’s family was happy to agree with the marriage without any dowry requests. The wedding took place on November 23. Both families performed the marriage rites and traditions properly. They then brought the newlyweds home, welcoming them warmly.
The bride entered the bedroom before anywhere else. She desired conversation and partnership between them. This was an arranged marriage, however, Joshua wanted to have sexual relations immediately. The bride was very adamant that she wanted nothing to do with having sex right away. This rejection infuriated Joshua and caused him to become violent.
Joshua left the bedroom furiously. He got a hammer from a separate room and attacked the bride. The violent assault inflicted serious injuries on her. The bride collapsed on the floor covered in blood. Joshua assumed she was dead after he struck her.
Joshua fled the scene of the crime immediately after attacking the bride. He left the bride on the floor severely injured with no signs of life remaining within her.
The following morning family members entered the bedroom and discovered the bride laying on the floor in a pool of her own blood. They were horrified and shocked. They took her to a hospital where she is being treated. Hospital treatment continues.
