An experience during which trouble arose from a medical emergency while pregnant with her daughter. Gadot said that during the last months of her pregnancy, she suddenly felt a being ill-couldn’t see a thing, everything was black, and her body was numb. Immediately, the doctors were able to find out that she had developed a severe brain clot, a condition that can be life-threatening if not treated promptly. She recalls feeling absolutely helpless in the moment, realizing how quickly life can shift without a warning.
Immediate treatment was her deploye’s salvation
Medical help was on time. Gadot was rushed into treatment, and doctors dissolved the clot before it could cause permanent damage. Somewhere in her heart of hearts, she knew that she was regaining consciousness very slowly, and being fully aware of the eerie distance to death she had just been racing down, and how it was squarely dependent on quick medical action for the fate of her unborn baby.
Changes in her outlook toward motherhood and health
This left her strongly shaken and concerned, but grateful. She says she learned to slow down, to listen to her body, and to prioritize her health above fulfilling work. She called it a wake-up call that taught her that even seemingly strong and healthy women may face unexpected medical risks during pregnancy.
