Oscars Streaming on YouTube: The Oscars, also called the Academy Awards, are one of the most prominent cinema honors, and they have historically been shown on the ABC broadcast network. It should be mentioned that everyone on YouTube, including YouTube TV subscribers, will be able to watch the Academy Awards for free. The ceremony is available to viewers with closed captioning and audio tracks in several languages.

“We are thrilled to enter into a multifaceted global partnership with YouTube to be the future home of the Oscars and our year-round Academy programming,” stated Academy president Lynette Howell Taylor and chief executive Bill Kramer.

From 2029 to 2033, the worldwide rights to the Oscars will be held by the online video-sharing website YouTube. Red carpet coverage, the Governors Awards, and the announcement of Oscar nominations will all fall under this category. The financial terms, however, have not yet been made public. For those who don’t know, NBC broadcast the Oscars for the first time in 1953, but ABC bought the rights in 1961. The ABC broadcast network declared in a statement that “ABC has been the proud home to The Oscars for more than half a century.”
