After ‘Gami’ and ‘Gangs of Godavari’, Vishwak Sen is back with the third film of 2024 Mechanic Rocky. Gami received mixed reviews from the audience but ‘Gangs of Godavari’ failed to attract the audience. Now Vishwak Sen’s hopes lie in Mechanic Rocky. The film was directed by Ravi Teja Mullapudi, and produced by S.R. Entertainment. But the teaser and trailer seem a bit disappointing for the audience. Story

Nagumomu Rakesh Aka Mechanic Rocky (Vishwak Sen) is bad at studies, so his father (Naresh) sends Rocky to the mechanic shed for work. Later, he worked well and carved a name for him as a good mechanic. Rocky also teaches driving classes in his garage. Then he met Maya (Shraddha Srinath) an insurance agent who comes to rocky for driving classes. At that time Rocky shared details about his love story and career.

Akki Reddy (Sunil), who is very influential, sets his sights on Rocky’s mechanic shed. He pressures Rocky’s father to sell the place. But he does not agree to it. He beats up the rowdies who came to force him to sign and goes to Akki Reddy’s house and gives a warning. Later, when he learns that Rocky’s father has died, he uses his influence to seize the shed.

In this process, Rocky makes a deal with Akki Reddy for his shed. Thinking that he wants his shed as a memorial to his father, he says that he will give him Rs. 50 lakhs. But he cannot adjust the money. In this process, Maya tells him that Rocky’s father has an insurance policy of Rs. 2 crores. But Rocky’s name is not listed as a nominee.

That is what the rest of the story reveals, Did Rocky get the insurance money? What help did his girlfriend Priya (Meenakshi Chowdhury) give him? What is Rocky’s past?

Analysis

The film starts slowly, and the comedy in the first half is unnecessary. The routine storyline with the hero warning to villains. The interval scene is not as impactful as it is expected. Starting off the second half with a slow pace, the story becomes gripping with a number of twists and turns in the story. But the climax seems to be a bit routine.

The performance of the cast is appreciated. Vishwak Sen did well in the film. But Shraddha Srinath and Meenakshi Chaudhary stole the show with their performance outshining Vishwak Sen. Sunil as villain pays off to the film but the comedy element with Viva Harsha and Hyper Aadi seems to be disguise.

Vishwak Sen acted brilliantly as usual. But also got a good role. Sunil’s look and acting seem new. The comedy of Viva Harsha, Hyper Aadi.. did not explode much. Senior Naresh once again impressed with his mark acting. Harsha Vardhan is also okay.
