The makers have announced the good news to potterheads today. On 6th December 2024, the makers took their Instagram handle and shared a poster of Harry Potter Filming Update. The poster was seen in a blue background with twinkling stars and the poster read ” HBO original Harry Potter. Production of the HBO Original series begins SUMMER 2025 at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.” So save the dates Potterheads, The filming of the most awaited series will begin soon. They captioned the post “Wands at the ready. The upcoming HBO Original Series, #HarryPotter, will be filming at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden with production beginning in Summer 2025 and coming to Max.”
As per recent reports, nearly 32,000 children auditioned for all the young roles in Harry Potter. The producers have been watching every audition, viewing between 500 to 1,000 per day. The makers revealed “We haven’t made any final choices, but we’re workshopping with a shortlist in January. And there are some crackers. The cream of British acting talent, this incredible tradition of brilliant theatre actors, and of course, we’re following the books with canonical casting.”
The Harry Potter TV series has been produced by J.K. Rowling via Brontë Film in collaboration with HBO and Warner Bros. The show will feature Francesca Gardiner as the showrunner and executive producer, with Mark Mylod as the director and executive producer. The makers are planning to make every character new with added twists.
