The Devil Wears Prada 2 is now officially in production. The film promises to bring back the runway drama, this time set against the crumbling world of print media and the digital rise of fashion. Fans got a tease on X featuring iconic red pumps and classic dialogue from Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt.
The original cast returns. Meryl Streep reprises her role as the formidable Miranda Priestly. Anne Hathaway returns as Andrea “Andy” Sachs. Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci also join, reprising their Emmy and Tony award-winning roles. Newcomer Kenneth Branagh joins as Miranda’s husband, adding fresh dynamics to the story.
The sequel will explore Prada as the print magazine industry faces decline. Miranda Priestly will confront digital disruption and shifting media landscapes.
