Rail One App: Indian Railways has launched a new super app named RailOne for the convenience of passengers. Through this app, many services like railway related inquiries, ticket booking, PNR status tracking, real-time location of the train, food ordering, and complaints are being provided in a single app. This app has been made available for Android and iOS users. Railway department sources reveal that this RailOne app will be more convenient for passengers by bringing railway services to one place.
Sources said that the main purpose of this Rail One app is to provide a better experience to railway passengers with an easy and clear interface. However, it has been said that train passengers can log in to this app with their existing RailConnect or UTSonMobile details. It has been clarified that through this, there is no need to remember different passwords.
Currently, railway passengers use different apps and websites for various services. IRCTC Rail Connect for ticket bookings, IRCTC eCatering Food on Track for ordering food on trains, Rail Madad for complaints, UTS for unreserved tickets, National Train Enquiry System for checking train status.
IRCTC Rail Connect app has exclusive rights for booking reserved tickets. The app has already crossed 100 million downloads and is the most popular app in the railways. New passengers downloading the app can easily register on it. For inquiries, the app can also be accessed as a guest by entering the mobile number OTP.
This RailOne app will also have an R-Wallet (Railway e-wallet) facility. It seems that users can log in to their accounts through mPIN, biometric. It provides all passenger services in a single app. IRCTC reserved, unreserved, platform ticket booking, PNR, train tracking, coach position, rail assistance, feedback, sources said.
There are also some issues with the IRCTC app. Although the IRCTC app is the main platform for booking railway tickets, it has recently faced several technical issues. Due to this, railway passengers have expressed their impatience on social media.
Through this app, you can make ticket reservations, unreserved ticket bookings, platform ticket bookings, and monthly passes. You can also track the location without having to rely on third-party apps to know where the train is. You can also know the PNR status through this app. There is also a facility to order food for passengers. There is also a feature called Rail Madad for complaints. Complaints can be made through video, audio, and photos. You can also request for refund.
