Ghatkesar to Yadagirigutta Gets Direct MMTS Connectivity

Ghatkesar-Yadagirigutta MMTS: The central government has given good news to the devotees of Lord Narasimha going to Yadagirigutta. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that Rs. 100 crore has been allocated for the Ghatkesar-Yadagiri Gutta MMTS railway project. To this extent, he wrote a letter to Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy. In the last Parliament session, MP Chamala requested the Center to release Rs. 412 crore allocated for the third line, which is about 33 kilometers long. After that, he met Ashwini Vaishnav and submitted a memorandum. In this context, the central government has decided to sanction funds.

Union Minister’s letter to MP Chamala:

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, in a letter to MP Chamala, discussed the latest funding allocation. He stated that MP Chamala had requested ₹412 crore during zero hour on April 3 to expand the Ghat Kesar–Yadagirigutta MMTS. The authorities had approved the MMTS scheme on a cost-sharing basis back in 2016. However, the state government failed to deposit its share, which delayed the project’s launch. Currently, the Railways are funding the entire project. “We are providing ₹100 crore for the project in this fiscal year,” the minister mentioned in the letter. MP Chamala thanked Minister of State Ravneet Singh and Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for their support.

Third line between Ghatkesar-Yadagirigutta:

The central government will fund the construction of a third railway line spanning 33 km from Ghat Kesar to Bhuvanagiri. Authorities have already started the construction work. In some areas, officials need to acquire land, but until they complete the acquisition, workers will continue construction on the existing railway premises. To meet future requirements, railway officials are preparing to purchase 79 acres of land along a 39-kilometer stretch from Ghat Kesar to Vangapalli to build a fourth railway line. Engineers plan to build an MMTS platform as the third platform at Bhuvanagiri Railway Station.

To improve convenience for devotees, South Central Railway has decided to extend the AMTS service to Rayagiri, considering the remarkable development of the Yadagirigutta Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple. With the MMTS becoming operational, commuters can expect faster and more affordable travel to Yadagirigutta. Devotees are likely to experience a more comfortable and accessible journey. They have urged the central government to complete the project as soon as possible.
