Samsung is in the news again, as early leaks suggest new details about the Galaxy S26 Ultra, the company’s next flagship, expected to be launched in early 2026. The device is already causing a stir with major changes in design, camera enhancements, and performance upgrades.

Redesigned with Thinner Bezels
According to the first reports, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will maintain the same 6.9-inch screen size from the S25 Ultra, although the bezels are likely to be reduced even further, thus improving the screen-to-body ratio, and overall display experience. The back of this device is likely to undergo a significant redesign as well, avoiding the raised individual camera rings of the past and going with a smaller sightly unified looking layout, in line with minimalist design trends.

Powering up performance!
The S26 Ultra is believed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor, constructed using TSMC’s advanced 3nm manufacturing process. This will not only mean faster performance speeds, but improved battery efficiencies as well. Samsung also appears to be growing the internal cooling system, gone is the standard vapor chamber for a new 20% larger vapor chamber, this should improve cooling operations especially for gamers and other heavy-users looking for the best performance.

The Ultra lineup will retain the S Pen, even though it was rumored earlier to not include the S Pen. Now users can continue to take advantage of the productivity features of the S Pen, especially creators and business people.

Storage options may be at 256GB, 512GB and 1TB with 16GB RAM as standard, so there will be no shortage of power.

Camera Overhaul: a Sony Sensor Surprise
One of the largest changes may come in terms of the camera sensor. Samsung may be changing away from the ISOCELL sensor that they manufacture in-house and will instead be using a 200MP Sony sensor that will improve photo clarity and low-light performance. The phone is also thought to include a 50MP periscope lens, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and 12MP secondary telephoto lens, so this marks quite the leap in mobile camera performance.

Expected Price in India
In terms of price, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is speculated to come in starting at approx ₹1,59,990 in India depending on storage variants. The launch price may actually end up being lower due to some promotional or bundled offers.
