Vivo launched the V60 5G in India, promoting a camera-centric smartphone, in the sub-Rs. 40,000 segment. Currently the OPPO Reno 14 5G stands as a strong competitor. Let’s compare the two smartphones in terms of price, display, performance, camera, and battery. This will give you a way to pick the right phone based on your needs.


 

Price

The Vivo V60 5G starts at Rs. 36,999 for 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. For 8GB+256GB it costs Rs. 38,999, for 12GB+256GB it costs Rs. 40,999 and for the maximum 16GB+512GB it costs Rs. 45,999. The OPPO Reno 14 is priced starting at Rs. 37,999 for 8GB+256GB.


 

The 12GB+256GB version costs Rs. 39,999 and the 12GB+512GB version costs Rs. 42,999. Based on storage capacity and pricing, OPPO gives you more storage for less price.

 

Display

The Vivo V60 features a 6.77-inch quad-curved AMOLED display, with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Maximum brightness of 5000 nits and an IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance rating. The weight ranges from 192 grams to 201 grams and measures 7.65mm to 7.75mm thick.

 

It has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The OPPO Reno 14 comes with a 6.59 inch OLED panel, also has 1.5k resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate and max brightness up to 1200 nits which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

 

Software and Hardware

The Vivo V60 5G has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, capable of up to 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and 512GB UFS 2.2 storage. It runs Funtouch OS 15 on Android 15, and Vivo says it has promised four years of software upgrades and six years of security updates.

 

The OPPO Reno 14 5G uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor. It will allow for 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It runs on ColorOS 15 which is based on Android 15.

 

Camera Features

The Vivo V60 5G has a Zeiss-co-developed triple camera, consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera. It has a 50MP front camera with 4K video capture capabilities.

 

The OPPO Reno 14 5G has a triple camera system as well – a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, 8MP ultrawide and a 50MP front camera with 4K video capabilities.

 

Battery and Charging

The Vivo V60 5G has a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging. The OPPO Reno 14 5G has a 6,000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC charging.

 

Conclusion: Which One Should You Buy — Vivo V60 or OPPO Reno 14?

If you care about having a brighter display, bigger battery, faster charging speed, and longer software support, the Vivo V60 is the best value. The V60 has Zeiss-tuned cameras, better water resistance (IP68/IP69), and has a lower price before tax too.

 

That said, if you want to do optical zoom photography, and also need more base storage (256 GB instead of 128 GB), the OPPO Reno 14 is also an excellent option.

 

Get the Vivo V60 if you care about display quality, long software support, and overall performance. Grab the OPPO Reno 14 if zoom photography and stylish design are priorities.
