Google is in plans to announce their new Pixel lineup on August 20 during their Made by Google event. The flagship item being announced is the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
Google will be announcing the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold smartphones. All four phones are marketed toward premium users.
According to reports the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will have a Google Tensor G5 processor. It will run on a Tensor M2 chip for added device security.
The foldable could have a 6.4-inch OLED cover display. It might have a resolution of 1080×2364, HDR, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 3,000 nits peak brightness.
The 8.0-inch OLED main display will deliver 2076×2152 resolution, HDR support, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 3,000 nits peak brightness.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold could have a triple rear camera. The phone could have a 48MP main, a 10.5MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10.8MP telephoto lens.
There could be 10x optical zoom on the telephoto lens. There might be a 10MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture for the selfie camera.
It may offer up to 4K video at 60 frames per second (fps), HDR10+, and slow-motion at 240 fps.
Reports suggest that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could feature 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options could include 256GB, 512GB and even 1TB. It’s likely to utilize UFS 4.0 technology for better speed and multitasking.
Out of the box, the foldable should run Android 16. Google may provide 7 years of security updates and Android feature drops.
Google may also offer AI functionality; which may include exclusive features, including Gemini Nano, Gemini Live, Circle to Search, and Call Assist.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold may come with a 5,015mAh battery and support for 30W fast charging and even 15W Qi2 wireless charging.
Connectivity may include Wifi 7, Bluetooth v6, NFC, GPS, dual-SIM support, and USB Type-C. There may also stereo speakers, and possibly three microphones.
The phone is reported to weigh in at 258g. When folded, it measures 155.2 × 76.3 × 10.8 mm; when unfolded, it measures 155.2 × 150.4 × 5.2.
The reports suggest two colour variants – Moonstone and Jade. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold may be Google’s most stylish foldable yet.
