India’s budget smartphone segment has gotten increasingly competitive this August. The launch of the POCO M7 Plus 5G will go after Vivo’s T4x 5G through the same target category of value buyers under ₹17,000.
The POCO M7 Plus 5G will go on sale on Flipkart, on 19 August after 12pm. The 6GB+128GB price is ₹12,999 and the 8GB+128GB price is ₹13,999. POCO will run some introductory offers. Customers holding HDFC, SBI, or ICICI credit/debit cards can receive an additional instant ₹1,000 off. POCO will also run an exchange scheme, giving customers up to ₹1,000 off on their old device on a trade-in.
The Vivo T4x 5G is listed for sale on Flipkart, Vivo’s official website, and at physical retail outlets. Prices for the Vivo T4X 5G start from ₹13,999 for the 6GB+128GB up to ₹16,999 for the 8GB+256GB model.
POCO M7 Plus 5G has a 6.9-inch Full HD+ display with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The device has TÜV Rheinland certification to reduce eye strain from prolonged use.
Vivo T4x 5G has a 6.72-inch display 120Hz refresh rate with a peak brightness of 1050 nits. The device also has TÜV Rheinland eye protection.
POCO M7 Plus 5G arrives with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset which can be paired with up to 8GB of RAM. It can also be virtually expanded up to 16GB with 128GB of storage onboard. The operating system is Android 15 based HyperOS 2.0 and will get two years of OS upgrades.
Vivo T4x 5G uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset with a choice of up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage onboard. The Funtouch OS 15 is clean and has built-in AI tools that include Live Text and AI Screen Translation.
The POCO M7 Plus 5G features a 50MP main camera with video recording limited to 1080p.
The Vivo T4x 5G also features a 50MP main camera with recording up to 4K. Moreover, the Vivo smartphone also offers AI tools for photography and a very strong night mode.
The POCO M7 Plus 5G has an impressive 7,000mAh battery, supports 33W fast charging, and offers 18W reverse charging capabilities. The Vivo T4x 5G has a slightly smaller 6,500mAh battery but offers faster 44W charging support.
For discerning consumers in the market for longer-lasting battery life and cheap prices during launch events, the POCO M7 Plus 5G will certainly draw interest. The Vivo T4x 5G is for buyers who prefer brighter screens, more advanced photo features, and faster charging capabilities. Both models are 5G compatible, have IP64 certification against water and dust, and offer tremendous value for money for consumers on a budget in India.
