India’s budget 5G smartphone segment kept hot. Infinix and Tecno have now both launched new phones under ₹10,000 with headline feature specifications. Let’s compare.
Infinix Hot 60i 5G launched at ₹9,299, but buyers will receive a ₹300 discount via Flipkart’s prepaid order, meaning it comes down to a net price of ₹8,999, one of the cheapest 5G phones available as of today.
Tecno Spark Go 5G costs ₹9,999 and will be available from August 21 via Flipkart andstore locations. There are no discounts, but there are interesting colour options, such as Bikaner Red.
Infinix Hot 60i 5G has a 6.75 inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Panda Glass protection.
Tecno Spark Go 5G has a 6.76 inch HD+ LCD display with the same 120Hz refresh rate and 670 nits of brightness.
Both phones look like trendy options but Tecno is marketing itself as the slimmest 5G phone in the segment.
Both phones are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipsets, which are powerful enough to meet the demands of day-to-day usage.
These models come with 4GB or RAM and 128GB of storage (with up to 2TB expandable storage via micro SD card).
Infinix appears to have the value add of also offering support for a virtual RAM option (i.e. expanding RAM) which will be great for power users who are multitasking.
Infinix and Tecno mobiles have 6000mAh battery capacity with 18W fast charging support which means good usage time for gaming, streaming or just working through the day.
Both smartphones have a 50MP Primary rear camera and a 5MP Selfie camera. Expect decent photography for the price, but there was never an emphasis on photography as these companies innovate.
Infinix has installed Android 15 with XOS 15, Tecno has installed HiOS 15 based on Android 15. Both phones come with AI powered features, smart tools and smooth experience.
Both devices highlight no-network calling as a distinguishing performance feature. Infinix uses Ultra Link Technology, and Tecno has No Network Communication. Both features allow users to call or message when there is no mobile signal.
If cost savings is your priority, you will get the Infinix Hot 60i 5G at a cost of ₹8,999 with a no-network calling system and virtual RAM. Choose the Tecno Spark Go 5G if you want a stylishly designed smartphone available in new vibrant colours even if you have to pay slightly more than the Infinix.
Either phone will provide exceptional value for money under ₹10,000 price point, especially for 5G users in India.
