Baby John Plot

Varun Dhawan stars in his first full-blown action film, “Baby John,” a remake of Vijay’s Theri. Varun, as ‘VD’, portrays Baby John, who lives with his daughter Khushi (Zara Zyanna) in Kerala. Baby John stays away from controversies in the town then His true identity of of him was revealed which takes us to a flashback of six years ago. IPS Satya Varma (Varun Dhawan) who is a good cop who believes in justice was devastated when a teenage girl was raped and killed by the powerful person Nanaji (Jackie Shroff). Analysis

The film starts off on a slow note with lag in the scenes testing the patience of the viewers. The baby girl bossing around her father attracts a few audiance. Slowly the film started to intensify with the revelation of Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh’s debut in Bollywood as Meera (Sathya’s wife)caught the public attention and received positive reviews for her charm in the film. Varun Dhawan’s complete action-packed performance made him an action star despite his lover-boy image. Atlee’s story is well-written and loved by the audience. Though there are some lag scenes, the film managed to get the audience’s attention with unique storytelling. Varun Dhawan playing a dual role in the film adds up to the hype. On the other hand, Salman Khan made a cameo appearance in Baby John setting the theatres on fire. The interval scene was well-written and the background score and songs from Thamman kept the movie going at a good pace. In the second half, The lead antagonist Nanaji (Jackie Shroff) keeps you entertained with his powerful performance. Wamiqa Gabbi plays Tara who is Khushi’s teacher got a good twist to the character but not an impactful one.

Final Review

With the overall good performance of the star cast along with Atlee’s impactful writings, Baby John is holding great at theatres. With Salman Khan’s cameo and good music, Baby John became a must-watch if you love to watch action thrillers along with the perfect balance of emotions.
