Vande Bharat Sleeper: In the upcoming weeks, Indian Railways hopes to launch the first Vande Bharat sleeper train. In comparison to the Rajdhani Express trains, the prototype train set for long-distance travel, constructed on the Vande Bharat platform, is intended to provide a quicker and more comfortable travel experience.

VB Sleeper Trains Details: 

The Rajya Sabha was notified by Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw that preparations for VB Sleeper trains for long-distance and intermediate-distance travel were in the works. By the end of this fiscal year, ten train sets are anticipated to be operational, with the Indian Railways having finished the train design. Fifty more VB Sleeper rakes are being produced at Chennai’s Integral Coach Factory. Contracts to manufacture 200 additional VB Sleeper rakes have been awarded to technology partners.

First VB Sleeper Train Route:

It is anticipated that the inaugural VB Sleeper service will start operating from Delhi. According to Indian Railways authorities, the service will link locations roughly 1,000 kilometers from Delhi, with possible routes via Varanasi to Ahmedabad, Bhopal, and Patna.
