On September 9, 2025, Apple launched the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The pre-orders will begin on September 12, 2025, at 5:30 PM IST. It will be sold for the first time in India on September 19, 2025.
At launch, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will be sold in Apple Stores located in BKC, Pune, Saket, or Hebbal. Online delivery will also be an option.
The starting price of the iPhone 17 Pro Max in India is Rs 1,49,900, for the 256 GB version. Other storage options are available, including 512GB, 1TB, 2TB, to a maximum price of Rs 2,29,900 for 2TB of storage.
Trade-in offers will deduct between Rs 3,590 and Rs 64,000 based on the model. No-cost EMI options and Rs 5,000 cashback will be available with select credit cards.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max will be available in black, white, grey, and dark blue. The design features a new aluminium-and-glass finish. It has a new style to replace the titanium material, allowing for greater grip. The back carries a rectangular camera slab, and Apple placed the new logo lower than in previous versions.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max features a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR display, ProMotion support with a refresh speed of 120Hz, HDR10 support, and it will reach a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits. Both sides are protected with Ceramic Shield 2. The protection guarantees 3x better scratch resistance and 4x better crack resistance.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max has the A19 Pro chip, with 12GB of RAM for extra smoothness. Storage options are from 256GB to 2TB. It’s powered by a bigger battery, meaning the best battery life ever. It supports 40W fast charging, reaching 50% in 20 minutes.

Apple built ProRes RAW and Apple Log 2 natively for professional video, supporting 4K recording at 120fps with Dolby Vision HDR. It supports Genlock for creators using multiple cameras.
