Oppo has launched a new pair of smartphones to their A6 lineup in China, the A6 GT and A6i, in addition to the A6 Pro. The A6 GT comes with almost all of the flagship features you’d expect in a premium device, while the A6i comes with more budget-friendly specifications than the A6 GT. Both smartphones offer great value and get the job done.
The Oppo A6 GT starts at Rs. 21,000 for the 8GB+256GB. The 12GB+256GB will cost you Rs. 22,300, while the 12GB+512GB will be Rs. 26,000. The Oppo A6i starts at Rs. 9,900 for the lowest 6GB+128GB model. The 8GB+128GB costs Rs. 12,400, and the largest 8GB+256GB is Rs. 13,600. The A6i is available in black and white.
The A6 GT comes with Android 15 and ColorOS 15 out of the box. It has a large 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,280×2,800 pixels which refreshes at 120 Hz. The touch sampling is at a 240 Hz, and its peak brightness is up to 1,600 nits. It is equipped with an under-display fingerprint security option.
The A6 GT is powered the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 that is paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The storage is up to a maximum of 512GB with UFS 3.1 storage. The device is capable of intensive gaming, and multitasking is smooth.
The A6 GT features a dual rear camera. There is a 50MP wide-angle lens with OIS, and a 2MP monochrome that assists with the wide-angle lens. The front camera is 32MP and takes sharp selfies. Video calling look good on this device.
The Oppo A6 GT provides connectivity options for 5G and 4G LTE. There is support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 The A6 GT also has NFC capabilities and a USB Type-C. It measures 163.13×77.58×7.7mm and has a weight of 198g. A 7000mAh battery powers it. 80W Super Flash Charge charges it fairly quickly.
A6i runs Android 15 with ColorOS 15, and is equipped with a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD. The resolution is 1,604×720 pixels. The refresh rate is 120Hz and the touch sampling is 240Hz. The brightness reaches 1,000 nits.
The A6i is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300. The A6i supports a max of 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. In this phone the storage is UFS 2.2 and maxes out at 256GB. Daily performance is decent with this hardware. It also helps to have 5G to access faster internet.
A6i has dual rear cameras. The 50MP wide-angle lens captures quite a bit of detail. There is a 2MP monochrome sensor primarily for depth of field. An 8MP front camera takes care of selfies, and the front camera has no issues working with video calls.
A6i has both 5G and 4G LTE options. The A6i supports, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth. The A6i has the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack. The USB Type-C sockets makes connecting easy. The A6i measures 165.71×76.24×7.99mm and weighs 194g. The A6i has a 6000mAh battery supporting charging at a max of 45W.
The A6 GT is targeted to premium users. The A6i is more for budget-conscious buyers. Both offer great battery life and display quality. Both options should be available soon on Flipkart.
