Apple’s official website in India shows in-store pick-up is currently unavailable for all versions of the iPhone 17 Pro Max. However, customers in-store are expected to get very limited units when the phones officially go on sale on September 19.
Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF Securities, shared on social media that demand for the iPhone 17 series is greater than demand for the iPhone 16 series last year. The company took more pre-orders over the opening weekend than last year at launch.
Because of high demand, Apple is increasing manufacturer of the iPhone 17 family by 25% over last year in Q3.
On the other hand, while all of the other models are experiencing high demand, the iPhone Air is not getting pre-orders at the same levels as the previous year’s iPhone 16 Plus. Kuo remarked, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is the hot product in the series.
With all of the excitement around the iPhone 17, the iPhone 16 is still the best-selling smartphone in the world for Q2 this year. The iPhone 16 was also number one in Q1 and continues to have strong demand.
Thanks to the launch of the iPhone 16e in February, it made its debut in the top 10 best-selling smartphones of all time. Apple’s growth is still on the rise in India. Last fiscal year, the company hit a record of $9 billion in sales.
