Oppo has launched the A6 5G smartphone, showcasing its features on Weibo, aimed at the Chinese market. The smartphone sports an enormous 7,000mAh battery, along with support for 80W fast charging. Furthermore, the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chip, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and with a maximum storage option of 512GB.
The phone also relies on a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU to run graphics on the device. Oppo offers three color options at launch, selling them directly on its website. The phone carries IP69 certification, protecting it against dust and water.
The standard price for the lower tier model is CNY 1,599, equivalent to about Rs. 20,000 in India, and it has medium storage of 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage. There are other media rights options available at slightly higher prices which offer up to 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, another option would also include the high tier for 12GB of RAM with 512GB of storage, which at present Oppo has not listed the price yet.
As far as color offerings go, customers can expect to find the Blue Ocean Light, the Velvet gray, and the Pink Fenmengshenghua colors. The purchasing process takes place directly on Oppo’s China website due to its launch location and inventory. Fresh inventory will be available for buyers, while the purchase website will ensure stock availability sooner than most monitoring or reselling.
Oppo will run its Color OS 15 on top of the Android 15 operating system with the A6 5G, and it provides for dual sim capability to easily communicate with two separate individual numbers on different networks.
The display is 6.57 inch AMOLED at a full-HD+ resolution of 2,372×1,080 pixels. The refresh rate can even display up to 120Hz, with the supervised touch sampling supporting dynamic sampling of up to 240Hz. The pixel density is a nice 397ppi.
The maximum brightness reaches 1,400 nits in outdoor settings. The phone supports 100% DCI-P3 and sRGB color spaces. The screen-to-body ratio is 93%. The size of the phone is 158.20×75.02x8mm. The weight is just 185g.
The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. This octa-core processor has a 2.4GHz maximum clock frequency. Two of the cores are high-performance cores and six of the cores are efficiency cores.
The Mali-G57 MC2 GPU is capable of good gaming performance. The RAM is LPDDR4X and the maximum is 12GB. The storage is also UFS 2.2 and the maximum is 512GB. It has the option of a microSD card for expansion.
The phone has an IP69 rating for dust and splash resistance. The device has sensors which include proximity and light. The accelerometer is used for motion detection. The phone has a compass that is used for directions. The fingerprint scanner is under the display for unlocking.
The rear camera has dual lenses, with the primary lens measuring 50MP. The primary lens is a wide-angle lens and has an aperture of f/1.8. The focal length for the wide-angle lens is 27mm. There is also a 2MP monochrome lens that works with the wide-angle lens. The aperture is f/2.4. The focal length of the monochrome lens is 22mm.
The zoom capabilities include a 10x digital zoom. The front camera takes selfies at 16MP. The aperture on the front camera is f/2.4. The focal length of the front camera is 23mm. Both cameras record 1080p video at 60fps.
The battery is rated at 7,000mAh and will last throughout the day on a single charge. The charging capability is rated at 80W, which is a fast charge. The connectivity options include multiple bands of 5G and 4G. The phone also has the option of GPS and
GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, and QZSS. Overall, the Oppo phone has many good features.
