Delhi Bomb Blast Update: Authorities in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. Have begun their preliminary investigation into the intelligence reports suggesting the sleeper cell activities. This follows the news about the raids by the Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on the probable sleeper den locations. In connection with coordinated investigations across the country into the issue of national security.
Initial reports suggest that the Mumbai ATS, in a widespread sweep with local police and central intelligence agencies, conducted a series of raids in some places in Guntur. The action is said to be based upon suspected intelligence inputs on a probable presence by an individual allegedly under surveillance for dubious activities.
However, there was no official confirmation of the arrest of anyone or seizure of anything so far. The raid is precautionary to ascertain and verify the leads being followed and assess any potential security risks.
No Official Verification as Yet
Neither Andhra Pradesh Police nor ATS have made any official statements justifying an organized terror linkage until now. Senior officers have, however, stated that investigations are on, and as soon as verifications are complete, the information will be revealed.
A senior officer involved in the operation said, “The investigation is precautionary in nature. We are acting on intelligence inputs and following standard counter-terrorism protocols.”
Members of the Public Urged to Remain Calm and Avoid Rumours
The local residents reported an increase in the police presence and random security checks across parts of the metropolitan city. Authorities have called upon the public to avoid speculation or misinformation, emphasizing that all actions are part of standard operational security measures.
Officials reiterated that this has, thus far, not been qualified as a credible threat to public safety. Thus, the public is advised to remain calm and to assist law enforcement agencies in ongoing inquiries.
