The Honor 400 series has emerged as a massive winner for the Chinese phone manufacturer Honor. After an impressive reaction to the series in the marketplace, the company is preparing for the media and the world with the Honor 500 series, which may feature a design influence on the recently launched Apple iPhone Air.
Honor President of Sales, Wang Ban, shared some great data. The Honor 400 series shipped more than six-million units internationally. The company launched the Honor 400 series worldwide in May of this year. Sales dramatically outperformed past-generation phones in the Chinese market.
In China sales were 195 percent higher than the Honor 300 series, and 138 percent higher than the Honor 200 series. Sales internationally were two to three times higher. This is indicative of a strong demand for this brand worldwide.
The Honor 400 series includes the “Honor 400” and the “Honor 400 Pro.” Both smartphones feature a 6.55 FHD+ OLED display with a flat screen and 120Hz refresh rate. The 200-megapixel primary camera will provide images with excellent detail. The 50-megapixel front camera can handle selfies and video calls. Both phones have a huge 7,200mAh battery for extended use on a single charge. Both devices operate on Android 15 with MagicOS 9.0.
The standard Honor 400 uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. This chip provides strong mid-range performance. The more powerful Honor 400 Pro uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This is a flagship-level processor for top-tier speed. It handles demanding games and apps with ease.
The series may also include the Honor 400 Smart 5G. This model appeared on telecom operator Orange’s website. It could feature a square-shaped rear camera module. This design offers a distinct look from the other models.
Honor has also teased the upcoming 500 series. This new series will replace the successful 400 line. It will likely include the Honor 500 and 500 Pro models. The standard Honor 500 may have a 6.5-inch display. It could also retain the powerful 200-megapixel rear camera.
The 400 series’ success builds strong momentum for Honor. The company is capturing significant market share globally. Customers are responding well to its feature-packed phones. The upcoming 500 series has high expectations to meet.
