Komaki Launches New Electric Bike: 220 Km Range At Just Rs15 Cost

Komaki Electric Vehicles launched its new MX16 Pro. This electric cruiser targets style-conscious and practical riders. The company prices it at ₹1,69,999 (ex-showroom, Lucknow). It combines strong road presence with very low running costs. Riders can choose from two color options. These are a stylish Dual Tone and a sleek Jet Black.

Impressive Range and Extremely Low Cost

The MX16 Pro delivers an exceptional maximum range. It can travel up to 220 km on one full charge. Its most significant advantage is the running cost. You can cover 200 km for just ₹15 to ₹20. A similar petrol bike would cost around ₹700 for this distance. This makes it incredibly economical for daily commutes.

Power and Performance Specifications

This electric cruiser is powered by a 5 kW BLDC hub motor and a large 4.5 kWh battery pack. The motor generates a total power output of 6.7 horsepower, and the maximum speed is 80 km per hour–with torque calibrated for a smooth and consistent delivery.

Form and Build Quality

Komaki built the MX16 Pro completely out of metal, focusing on high-strength and impact-absorbing chassis. The bike features a solid, purpose-built long frame, and wide foam seat for comfort. The motor has minimal vibration, giving the bike an extremely stable and comfortable cruising experience.

Safety & Braking

As safety is a large component of this bike, Komaki used a triple disc brake setup to provide any bike rider powerful and reliable braking. The bike also features regenerative braking technology. This feature helps in recovering some energy during braking. It slightly extends the vehicle’s overall range.

Premium Features and Technology

The cruiser comes loaded with modern features. It boasts a full-color TFT display for information. Riders get Bluetooth connectivity for smartphone integration. Convenience features include cruise control and a reverse assist function. It also has an auto-repair switch and park assist.

A Potential Game Changer

Gunjan Malhotra, Komaki’s Co-Founder, commented on the launch. She described the MX16 Pro as a potential “game-changer”. The bike combines power, technology, and comfort perfectly. It is suitable for both weekend joyrides and daily commutes. It aims to make every journey enjoyable and efficient.
