School Holiday Tomorrow:
Many parts of India are currently seeing heavy rainfall, and this has created confusion among parents and students about whether schools will remain open on 19 November 2025 (Wednesday).
Tamil Nadu is the state most affected by the current weather. The IMD has warned that many districts may receive heavy to very heavy rain. Because of this, the chances of schools being closed are high. Districts such as Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Ramanathapuram, Sivaganga, Virudhunagar, Tenkasi, and Theni may announce holidays depending on rainfall on Tuesday night. Parents should wait for updates from district officials before sending children to school.
Schools in Noida and other parts of Uttar Pradesh are expected to stay open. There are no rain warnings, no pollution emergency orders, and no new holiday announcements from the government. Still, parents can check school-level notices if there are any changes for specific classes.
Schools in Delhi–NCR are also likely to remain open. While air quality remains a concern, officials have not declared a holiday. Some private schools may continue hybrid classes or give flexible attendance for younger children.
The administrations of Puducherry and Karaikal have already declared holidays for educational institutions due to continuous heavy rain and waterlogging. Travel has become risky in many areas, so authorities decided to keep students safe by suspending classes. The final decision for November 19 depends on the next rainfall update.
States like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, and Bihar have not issued any holiday orders. Schools in these states will run normally unless weather conditions change suddenly.
