The Indian market now has strong competition between three new 5G smartphones. These phones are the Nothing Phone 3a Lite 5G, iQOO Z10R 5G, and OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G. All three devices offer attractive features, fast processors, and impressive displays. Let us compare them in detail.
The Nothing Phone 3a Lite starts at ₹20,999. The iQOO Z10R also begins at ₹20,999. Both offer 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants. The OnePlus Nord CE 5 is more expensive. Its base 8GB/128GB model costs ₹24,999.
The Nothing phone has a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate and 3000 nits brightness. The iQOO model features a curved AMOLED screen. Its peak brightness reaches 1800 nits. The OnePlus phone uses a 6.77-inch OLED panel.
Nothing uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset. iQOO employs the more powerful Dimensity 7400 processor. OnePlus features the top-tier Dimensity 8350 Alex chip. This gives OnePlus a clear performance advantage for gaming.
All three of these smartphone devices share the Android 15 OS, while Nothing instead uses its own proprietary OS Nothing OS 3.5. The iQOO Smartphone runs on Funtouch OS 15, and the OnePlus phone uses OxygenOS 15, which has a very ‘clean’ approach with no added customizations to Android. The software choice will ultimately come down to personal preference.
The Nothing Phone features a triple rear-camera configuration, which includes a primary 50-megapixel (MP) camera sensor. The iQOO Z10R utilises a dual rear camera system comprising a 50MP camera on the primary lens and a secondary 2MP lens, and it has a front-facing camera with 32MP, which is the highest of this selection. On the other hand, OnePlus has equipped this phone with a dual rear camera system, with a primary 50MP camera and an 8MP secondary that comes complete with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization).
For connecting to mobile networks, all three of these phones support 5G connectivity and dual-mode 4G VoLTE, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth. The added functionality for payment via NFC is available for the Nothing and OnePlus devices, while the iQOO uses USB 2.0 ports, which is considered somewhat outdated.
The Nothing Phone has a 5000mAh battery and supports 33W charging; whereas, the iQOO Z10R has a larger 5700mAh battery and supports 44W fast charging; but, leading the way in battery performance is OnePlus Nord CE 5 with an incredible 7100mAh battery that can be charged at ultra-fast 80W speeds.
