Later this year, Jeet, the son of Gautam Adani, the second richest man in India, will wed Diva Shah. According to a News 18 story, Taylor Swift has been asked to play at the wedding, and negotiations are in progress. The article quoted a source as saying, “Taylor Swift’s team is in talks with the Adanis to perform at one of the pre-wedding festivities of Jeet Adani and Diva Shah. Even though Taylor has not confirmed her presence as of now, talks are underway and looks like the grand wedding will mark her first performance in India.”
Taylor had already received an offer for a well-known private gig. The musician notoriously turned down a $9 million deal to play in the United Arab Emirates last year.
