Vidamayrachi Review: Does Ajith Kumar Deliver the Ultimate Suspense?

Thala Ajith has an unmatchable fanbase in south indian film industry for over decades. His films are often considered as super hits due to his existence in the film. His action sequences are a plus point to his films and the leading lady of the film makes their pair much popular. This time, it’s again Trisha Krishnan whose pair is still adored as the best portrait of love.

Story:

Vidaamuyarchi is the most anticipated film that stars Thala Ajith Kumar. This film’s Screenplay is adapted from an American film Breakdown which was released in 1997. The film was bankrolled by Lyca productions and directed by subaskaran allirajah. The cast also features Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, Arav and Ramya Subramanian.

A married couple’s (Ajith and Trisha) trip takes an unsettling turn when the wife (Trisha) goes missing, prompting the husband’s (Ajith) frantic search while an unknown villain (Sanjay Dutt) creates obstacles. This film can keep the audience engaged with a lot of plot twists and turns.

Vidaamuyarchi Review:

Arjun (Ajith Kumar) and Kayal (Trisha Krishnan) are a dreamy couple who share an inseparable bond with love. Azerbaijan abducted Kayal (Trisha) when they were on a trip. Then Arjun (Ajith) sets up a rescue mission to get his wife back safely. Doesn’t this story sound similar? That film with Kajal Agarwal where he is on a secret mission and away from everyone. But he still takes care of his pregnant wife and lets nothing happen to her. This might be a similar thing but definitely in a different way.

The story starts with a dreamy note as every film awaits a plot twist that can take the entire film on a rollercoaster. In the same way, the story slowly gets interesting and the twists are amazing and unexpected. With the engaging script and eye-catching visuals. The camera work was so brilliant that the audience will come back again to theatres for that visuals.

While the role doesn’t allow him to fully showcase his larger-than-life point. The film has realistic decent twists unlike many films that has unrealistic portrayal of action sequences. But what doesn’t work for the audience is the slow and lagged narrative. The screenplay could have been better and the music was not so engaging like Ajith‘s other film.
