The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had a strategic dialogue with the CE of Qualcomm, Cristiano Amon on the topics which include Artificial Intelligence, semiconductors, and 6G Technology Collaboration. In which PM Modi’s conversation with him was about India’s view being increasingly a strong capabilities in AI-driven innovation and while making the semiconductor ecosystem a pillar of the government ‘Make in India’ and ‘Digital India’ initiatives. According to him, there was an opportunity of India to become one-thus a major global hub for chip design and the next generation of connectivity technologies.
However, as Qualcomm Chief Executive Officer Cristiano Amon reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to long term help to India, he said Qualcomm viewed huge potentials for collaborating to develop the 6G technology and grow AI applications across sectors like healthcare, manufacturing and smart cities. According to him, also he recognised India’s skilled talent base and progress on digital transformation.
