This Week Movies Box Office Report: Indeed, this week did witness variety in releases of films of different genres, and languages, and the Indian box office has ended up with an exciting competition within these films. From action-filled entertainers to light-hearted drama, every film dreamt of a narrow segment of audience. The box office leader is very clear in its use of figures acquired after the first three-day collections, and several small films had impressive surprises. Here comes a complete breakdown of how each film fared and which one ultimately ruled the weekend.
120 Bahadur has emerged as the top release this week among the rest. The film opened with ₹2.25 crore on Friday and recorded a phenomenal jump on Saturday with ₹4 crore. This was majorly due to word-of-mouth publicity. Although Sunday saw a drop to ₹0.19 crore, it has pretty much registered an impressive total of ₹6.44 crore to make it the highest-grossing film of the weekend.
This comedy flick, Mastiii 4, acquired second place with a total of ₹5.62 crore in three days. The same ₹2.75 crore tally was echoed on Friday and Saturday, but it dived deep in a January Sunday to finish with ₹0.12 crore. Though this film may not have a spike over that time, its strong Friday carried it quite a ways.
Among the smaller films, Raju Weds Rambai stood out with an excellent Saturday jump. The film grossed ₹3.34 crore in its first weekend, significantly ahead of many mid-range offerings in terms of audience reception.
Eko surprised trade with a solid rise on Day 2, leading to a weekend total of ₹2.92 crore.
Vilayath Budha collected ₹2.73 crore but had a poor run due to cutthroat competition from several new releases.
12A Railway Colony had to settle for ₹1.48 crore while Premante closed on ₹0.66 crore. Both are not going to be a notice in growth, however.

With this, 120 Bahadur took away the cake of the weekly box office with ₹6.44 crore. Mastiii 4 and Raju Weds Rambai too, shows quite good performance as per their segments. However, it was indeed 120 Bahadur that surpassed the other two to take the crown regarding the weekend collections. The weekdays that follow would determine how long each film sustains its journey at the box office.
