According to interesting information from Tollywood, director Vikram K Kumar first narrated the story of the 2019 film Gang Leader to Allu Arjun. Although Bunny liked the story, it is reported that he dropped out of the project due to some unexpected reasons. The reason for this could be other films that he had already committed to, but the reasons were not officially revealed. Vikram Kumar, who had directed the same story with Nani, released it in 2019 under the title Gang Leader. In this, Priyanka Arul Mohan acted alongside Nani, while Karthikeya Gummakonda appeared in the role of the villain. It was appreciated by the audience as a revenge thriller. It did well at the box office.
