Schools across different states in India will observe holidays on November 12, 2025 (Wednesday) due to various local reasons. While Bihar and Telangana have declared holidays for bye-elections, Delhi-NCR schools will continue functioning in a hybrid mode due to worsening air quality under GRAP-III restrictions.

In Bihar, many schools are being used as polling centres for the ongoing bye-elections. To ensure smooth voting and counting, the government has declared holidays in several districts. Parents and students are advised to stay alert for official updates from their respective school authorities, especially in areas close to polling stations.

In Telangana, schools in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency and nearby areas will remain closed due to the bye-election. The decision covers both the polling and counting days. This allows school premises and staff to be used for election purposes. Families have been asked to check school WhatsApp or SMS updates for revised timetables or online class arrangements.

Meanwhile, in Delhi-NCR, schools will not shut down completely but will operate in a hybrid mode from November 12. Under this plan, parents can choose to send their children to school physically or allow them to attend online classes from home. The Zoom platform will be used for online sessions, and class timings will remain unchanged.

If pollution levels continue to rise and GRAP-IV restrictions come into effect, schools are expected to shift completely to online learning for all students. The Delhi government has requested schools to ensure that students’ learning continues smoothly without compromising their health.

After the recent Red Fort metro blast, the Delhi government has increased security measures, though no official order for school closure has been issued. Some private institutions have voluntarily opted for hybrid learning as a precaution.

Parents are advised to stay in contact with schools for further notifications and to choose the safest learning option for their children during this period.
