Pranav Mohanlal’s latest Malayalam horror thriller, Dies Irae: The Day of Wrath, is now getting ready for its digital release after a strong run in theatres. Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, the film impressed the audience and became one of the most successful movies in Pranav’s career. Now, fans who missed it in cinemas can finally watch it online.

The makers have officially announced that Dies Irae: The Day of Wrath will start streaming on JioHotstar from December 5, 2025. The platform also released a short 11-second teaser to share the good news. The film will be available to stream in Malayalam.

Story and Theme

Dies Irae marks director Rahul Sadasivan’s fourth project in the horror genre. He is already known for films like Red Rain, Bhoothakaalam, and Bramayugam. This new film continues his style of slow-building, atmospheric horror.

Pranav Mohanlal plays Rohan Shankar, an Indo-American architect. His life starts to fall apart after he learns about the sudden death of his former classmate and short-term love interest, Kani, a Bharatanatyam dancer played by Sushmitha Bhat. After this news, strange incidents begin to happen around him, and he finds himself stuck inside a mansion filled with mysterious forces.

Plot Highlights

Rohan struggles to understand the supernatural activities happening in the house. When the disturbances become violent, he seeks help from Madhu Potti, a traditional exorcist played by Sreekanth Menon. Things get worse when Rohan’s guest Kiran, Kani’s brother, is thrown off a balcony and goes into a coma. As the story moves forward, Rohan and Madhu slowly uncover hidden secrets and dark truths connected to the past.

Cast and Performances

Apart from Pranav Mohanlal, the film features Jibin Gopinath, Arun Ajikumar, Jaya Kurup, Manohari Joy, Swathi Das Prabhu, and Sushmitha Bhat. Pranav received a lot of appreciation for his intense and emotional performance.The movie collected ₹41.21 crore in India and crossed ₹82 crore worldwide, placing it among the top Malayalam hits of 2025.
