Thalaivar 173 Director: Superstars Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan recently announced their collaboration as producers and actors for the movie known as Thalaivar 173. Two well-known filmmakers are reportedly being considered to take over after Sundar C. departed. The production team is reportedly leaning toward either Ramkumar Balakrishnan or Nithilan Saminathan to direct the Rajinikanth-starring movie.

With their separate films, Maharaja and Parking, both directors have garnered significant praise and box office success. A final decision will be taken after Rajinikanth and the production team give their consent, even though negotiations are still ongoing. Sundar C was originally scheduled to direct; however, he quickly pulled out of the project due to “unexpected circumstances.”

Nithilan Saminathan’s Maharaja:

The action-thriller Maharaja, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Anurag Kashyap, is scheduled for release in 2024. The story revolves around a Chennai barber who, before his daughter returns from a sporting event, becomes obsessed with finding a missing garbage can that has great sentimental importance.

He sets out on his own investigation after the police refuse to take on the case, uncovering unsettling facts related to it. Sachana Namidass, Mamta Mohandas, Natty Subramaniam, Abhirami, Divyabharathi, Singampuli, and others play important parts in the movie.

Ramkumar Balakrishnan’s Parking:

Parking, which was released in 2023, is a dark comedy-thriller starring MS Bhaskar and Harish Kalyan. The plot centers on Eeshwar, a young IT worker who moves to a new home with his expectant spouse. His ego-driven battle with his elderly neighbor begins when he buys a car and takes the only available parking spot.

Their growing struggle and the effects it has on their families tell the story. Indhuja Ravichandran, Prathana Nathan, Rama Rajendra, Ilavarasu, Vijay Sathya, and other actors appear in the movie.
