Thalapathy Vijay son Jason Sanjay is getting ready for a big moment in his career. His first film as a director, titled Sigma, is an action-adventure comedy that is expected to hit theaters in 2026. The filming work is almost complete, and new reports suggest an interesting surprise for fans — Jason Sanjay may appear in a small cameo role in the movie.

According to industry buzz, a special song for Sigma was recently filmed, featuring actress Catherine Tresa. Sources claim that Jason also took part in this song, making a brief on-screen appearance. If this news is true, it will be his second time acting in a film. Fans may remember that he earlier appeared as a child artist in Vettaikaran (2009), where he danced with his father Vijay in the popular song “Naan Adicha.”

Sigma is written and directed by Jason himself. The movie focuses on a lone-wolf kind of hero, who goes on a mission involving hidden treasures, risky heists, and adventurous challenges. The film is produced by Lyca Productions, and music composer Thaman S is handling the songs and background score.

Sundeep Kishan plays the lead role in Sigma. The cast also includes Faria Abdullah, Raju Sundaram, Anbu Thasan, Yog Japee, Sampath Raj, Kiran Konda, Magalakshmi Sudharsanan, and others. Some more cameo appearances are also expected. Interestingly, reports say Jason had first discussed the script with Dulquer Salmaan, who liked the idea but could not take it up due to date issues.

While Jason prepares for his debut as a filmmaker, his father Thalapathy Vijay is also in the news. Vijay is expected to make his final appearance as an actor in 2026. His upcoming film Jana Nayagan, directed by H. Vinoth and co-starring Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde, is scheduled to release on January 9, 2026.

Fans are now eagerly waiting to see whether Jason’s cameo in Sigma will be officially confirmed and how his directorial debut will shape his future in Tamil cinema.
