HMD Global is preparing a unique phone for children. They partnered with wearable maker Xplora for this project. The phone is named the HMD XploraOne. It will launch in select markets first. This device focuses on safety and simplicity for kids.
The phone offers basic calling and texting features. It will not include distracting apps for children. Internet and social media access remain blocked completely. Parents maintain full control over the device. This ensures a safe introduction to technology.

This mobile phone would have a QVGA display of 3.2 inches and 2.5D glass to protect this display. The Unisoc T127 chipset would provide power to this mobile phone. This phone could come with only 64 MB of RAM, whereas the internal storage could come in at only 128 MB. The internal storage can be expanded using micro SD cards.
This mobile phone could have a 2-megapixel camera on the back that will capture photos, with only a 0.3-megapixel front camera. A 2000 mAh battery will power this mobile phone and have USB Type-C charging. This phone has an IP52 rating (dust resistant) and will have basic water protection.
There may be two colors available at launch for this mobile phone: Charcoal and Cyan Blue. Charcoal will appeal to younger generations of users, while Cyan Blue is a color that would appeal to young people.
The app that comes pre-installed on this mobile phone will include the calendar, calculator and gallery app. Physical buttons can assist children in navigating their mobile phone easily, as the user interface is very simple and easy to navigate.
