Oppo finally launched its Reno 15 series in China. The lineup includes two new smartphone models. These are the standard Reno 15 and the Reno 15 Pro. Both phones target the mid-high premium market segment. They focus heavily on design and camera performance. Sales will officially start on November 21st.
The starting price of the Oppo Reno 15 is CNY 2,999, approximately equivalent to 37,000 Indian rupees. Meanwhile, the Reno 15 Pro is available at a higher price point, starting at CNY 3,699 (about Rs46,000 in India). A top variant with a whopping 16GB RAM and 1TB storage configuration is available for the Pro at a price of CNY 4,799 (roughly Rs60,000).
The Pro model includes three color options: Honey Gold, Starlight Bow, and Canele Brown. The standard Reno 15 comes with more color options to choose from—Starlight Bow, Aurora Blue, or Canele Brown. The Starlight Bow Song Yuqi special edition is another unique color option.
The Reno 15 Pro offers a large 6.78 inches display. The display is a Full-HD+ Flexible AMOLED one. The display offers a 120Hz refresh rate and supports a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. On the other hand, the Reno 15 has a comparatively smaller 6.32 inches display with the same brightness and refresh rate specifications.
Both smartphones utilize MediaTek’s Dimensity 8450 chipset, which reaches clock speeds of 3.25GHz. Both versions come with LPDDR5X RAM for enhanced performance and UFS 3.1 storage type to manage file storage. Graphics are managed by an ARM G720 MC7 GPU.
The camera system is a major highlight. Both models feature a triple rear camera setup. A 200MP main sensor serves as the primary camera. It is joined by a 50MP ultrawide sensor. A 50MP telephoto camera offers 120x digital zoom. The front camera is a 50MP sensor for selfies.
The Reno 15 Pro packs a massive 6,500mAh battery. The standard model has a slightly smaller 6,200mAh unit. Both phones support 80W wired fast charging. Only the Pro model includes 50W wireless charging. This provides convenient power options.
The series supports 5G connectivity for fast data. It includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. An in-display fingerprint scanner provides security. You also get NFC and comprehensive navigation system support. These phones are well-equipped for modern needs.
