Asus has launched the ROG GR70 mini gaming PC, which is a milestone for the company. This is their first mini PC that runs an AMD processor. The system is built with high-performance specifications inside a tiny form factor. The form factor is only three liters in size. Serious gamers and professional content creators can now access desktop-level performance without a big tower.
An AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor powers the system. The Ryzen 9 9955X3D uses advanced 3D V-Cache technology to dramatically boost data access speeds during gaming. The system has an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, which can handle intensive workloads with no difficulty. The hardware has great performance even while performing advanced rendering and game streaming. In combination, this is a powerful PC.
The ROG GR70 has a very compact size – measuring 280 x 180 x 60mm. The design is clean and modern styled, with easy-access ports in the front panel for better user functionality. The rear panel affords future-proofing and includes two DisplayPort 2.1 and two HDMI 2.1 connectors, a Thunderbolt 4 port, and six USB 3.2 connections. The system is Wi-Fi 7 compatible.
Memory is an easy upgrade. The PC has a total of two SODIMM slots for DDR5 memory. For storage, there are a total of two M.2 2280 slots available for a solid-state drive. One supports advanced PCIe 5.0 solid-state drives. The other is compatible with PCIe 4.0. This makes data transfer speed considerably quicker.
Asus has made the product available first in China, with a starting price of 14,999 Chinese Yuan. This equals approximately 1.87 lakh Indian Rupees. There has been no announcement or confirmation of launch plans in other countries. Pricing has also not been confirmed in any other regions such as India. This is an expensive product meant for people who want powerful and lightweight devices.
