Samsung has launched its new W26 foldable phone. It is the latest model from Galaxy Z Fold’s luxurious series. This phone is akin to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in terms of the specifications. It comes with a tailor-made Snapdragon 8 Elite processor that is very powerful. This latest foldable gadget is currently limited to China only.
The price of the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant is set at CNY 16,999. It is approximately ₹2,11,200 in Indian rupees. The price of the 16GB RAM + 1TB version is CNY 18,999. It is approximately equal to ₹2,36,000. The first option has Dual Red & Gold and the second one has Black & Gold. It may be off its base on Samsung’s China website.
One can get an 8-inch foldable AMOLED screen as the inner display of this phone. It offers very high resolution of QXGA+. The front display features 6.5 inches with the Full HD+ panel. Refresh rate of 120Hz is supported by both the screens. The brightness of 2,600 nits, which is their max, is also reached by them.
Qualcomm’s top-tier and customized Snapdragon 8 Elite chip is the heart of the device that powers it. It is Android 16 with One UI 8 that the handset runs. Several AI-powered Galaxy features support the phone. One of them is the smart password manager. It also has more RAM than the Z Fold 7 has.
It’s a 200MP main camera that catches your pictures brilliantly. Along with it, there is an ultra-wide sensor with 12MP. A 10MP telephoto lens is also provided for the optical zoom. The innermost foldable part has the 10MP selfie camera. It is best at video calls and producing self-portraits.
The W26 is equipped with satellite connectivity that is direct. It uses the Tiantong satellite system from China. So it allows emergency calls to be made without using a mobile network. The standard options for the phone are 5G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. You can use the fingerprint that has been installed on the side to keep safe.
One 4,400mAh battery is in charge of giving power to the smartphone. The wired fast charging of 25W is supported by it. The phone, when unfolded, is 158.4 × 143.2 × 4.2 mm in size. However, it becomes 158.4 × 72.8 × 8.9 mm when folded.
