WhatsApp finally brings multiple accounts to iPhone users. This feature solves a major problem for dual-SIM users. People can now use two accounts in one app. Previously, iPhone users needed the business app separately. This created unnecessary complexity and confusion.

To operate multiple accounts, users would install the WhatsApp Business app that would allow some dual account access. However that process never worked as intended. It was somewhat of a clunky experience, and keeping messages organized was difficult. The new feature instantly solves the problem.
Users need to first add their second number first. First, they go to the settings menu in WhatsApp. This section will have an add account option. Users would then go through the full registration process, including verifying their second number they intend to use. After all of this, users can then opt to switch between accounts.
The apping then gives users an account list, displayed as their registered numbers. You simply tap any account from your list and switch. It’s that easy. The app transmitts the user to their other registered account with no problems, as express switching to a different account is very easy using a button located next to their profile icon. The amount of time this takes is only several seconds.
Now users have settings for each individual account. If changing notification preferences for an individual account, their privacy settings would remain the same for the other account. Additionally, for pinned messages, they would not blend between users either. Everything remains organized. Users like that thought has gone into this design.
You can register new numbers easily. Previously unregistered numbers work fine. The process follows standard verification steps. No special requirements exist. Any valid mobile number qualifies. The system handles everything smoothly.
This feature is available as part of a beta program, accessible to selected users only. You will need to be running the latest version of WhatsApp. The feature will roll out gradually to more users, but this could take time. It is likely that with a successful beta program, available to even more users, a full public release will happen soon after.
For anyone with a dual-SIM iPhone, this is hugely beneficial. They can do away with separate apps, and business and personal accounts can now exist side-by-side in WhatsApp, making it easier to switch between them, and the productivity benefits are huge.
