Kingdom Sequel Cancelled: Another Blow to Vijay Deverakonda

Kingdom Part 2 Cancelled: After a continuous disappointment, Vijay Deverakonda had put all of his faith in Kingdom. Bhagyashri Borse played the lead role in the movie, which was directed by Jersey-famous Gowtam Tinnanuri. The action drama fell short of expectations, even though the songs were fantastic and the ads made a big impression.

Kingdom 2 Cancelled After Huge Losses:
The fact that the movie was split into two parts, with the second portion scheduled for release in early 2026, was yet another significant problem. However, internal sources have revealed that the producers have now abandoned their intentions for a sequel.

Naga Vamsi, who has produced back-to-back failures with Mass Jathara and Kingdom Part 1, has chosen to postpone the sequel since the first part proved to be too expensive for his banner. Not even half of the staggering Rs 130 crore budget for Kingdom was recouped by the producers. This is also the primary reason for the cancellation of the sequel, and filmmaker Gowtam, who has already completed a short film called Magic, has been requested to focus on the musical drama.

For the movie, Vijay Deverakonda spent a lot of time getting a new look. He gave an amazing performance, but it was all in naught because both spectators and critics made fun of Kingdom. The final version did not even include two popular songs that were released before the movie. The movie was a box office failure due to numerous other problems.

Ravi Kiran Kola is currently directing Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming movie. After that, he would also film for the renowned Shyam Singha Roy director Rahul Sankrityan. In 2026, these two movies will be released.

Vijay has only produced failures over the past few years, and his market has drastically declined. He made news when he became engaged to Rashmika Mandanna, the love of his life, and is scheduled to tie the knot in 2026. Aside from this, everyone was dissatisfied by his biggest movie, Kingdom; as a result, the sequel has been cancelled.
