IndiGo Pays Rs 610 Crore Refund, Delivers 3,000 Bags

Indigo Refunds: In a social media post on Sunday, IndiGo stated that it had restored 95% connection and planned to operate over 1,650 flights by the end of the day, reaching 137 out of 138 destinations. Passengers nonetheless experienced difficulties even though there were fewer cancellations than on Saturday (700) and Friday (1,000). Many even vented on social media about the difficulties with baggage handling, delays, and cancellations.


Following its intervention, IndiGo processed refunds of Rs 610 crore and made sure that 3,000 pieces of luggage were handed to passengers, according to the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA). Since Tuesday, the airline has been dealing with personnel shortages and schedule problems, which have negatively impacted its domestic operations.

On Sunday, IndiGo canceled around 220 flights at the airports in Delhi and Mumbai. At least 112 planes were canceled at the airports in Mumbai and Delhi, according to sources. 140 flights were canceled at Bengaluru Airport, according to the official report.
