The prestigious Miss World 2025 competitions have officially started today (May 10) in Hyderabad. For the first time, the Telangana government is hosting the 72nd edition of this international beauty pageant. Gachibowli Indoor Stadium will host the grand opening ceremony. This will continue with various events until May 31.


Miss World 2025 in Hyd:

More than 120 contestants from across the world participate in the competition. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and other important personalities will attend the opening ceremony. The state government has made all arrangements to make this event successful and memorable.

The ceremony is open to the general public, and around 3,000 people are expected to attend. The government has also provided free entry passes for those who register through the official Telangana Tourism website.


This event is not only about beauty and fashion, but also a way for Telangana to promote its culture, history, and tourist attractions to the world. The contestants will get a chance to visit famous sites like Charminar, Warangal Fort, Ramappa Temple, Yadagirigutta, and the Buddha Vanam at Nagarjuna Sagar. They will also witness traditional crafts like Pochampally Ikat designs and visit the Command Control Center and AIG Hospital to understand Telangana’s strengths in safety and medical tourism.

The opening ceremony features a rich mix of Telangana’s cultural heritage. Traditional dance forms such as Perini, Gussadi, Kommu Koya, Lambadi, and Oggu Dolu are being performed. The program will also include the singing of Telangana’s state anthem and the Miss World anthem. Contestants will parade with their national flags, showcasing unity in diversity.

Here is the detailed schedule of today’s opening event:

6:30 PM: Ceremony begins
2 minutes 50 seconds: Telangana state anthem
9 minutes 10 seconds: Perini dance by 250 artists
2 minutes 10 seconds: Kommu Koya dance
3 minutes 5 seconds: Gussadi dance
3 minutes 10 seconds: Lambadi dance
4 minutes: Oggu Dolu performance
3 minutes 30 seconds: Miss World anthem
8:30 PM: Ceremony concludes

The Miss World competitions will also include a Sports Finale, Arts & Crafts Workshop at Shilpakala Vedika, and the final event at HICC (Hyderabad International Convention Centre). Meanwhile, all of these are open to the public, but pre-registration required.

In addition to these, the Telangana government is ensuring top-class hospitality and facilities for all international guests. A strong three-level security system has been put in place to ensure safety.

With this grand event, Telangana aims to showcase its unique identity, hospitality, and culture to the entire world. This is a proud moment for the state and a celebration of global beauty, talent, and tradition coming together in Hyderabad.
