PF Claim Stuck? A Complete Step-by-Step Guide for You to Withdraw Your Money Using the UMANG Application. If your Provident Fund (PF) account claim has stalled or taken longer than expected, remember, you are not alone. Hundreds of employees complain about blocked PF claims for reasons such as incomplete KYC, missing documents or technical glitches at the EPFO portal. For your luck, all withdrawals, claim status checking, or raising your concerns regarding PF can now be done from your smartphone through the UMANG app: Unified Mobile Application for New-Age Governance.
The UMANG App, launched by the Government of India has integrated a lot of services to citizens, including some of the functions of EPFO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organization). Users can seamlessly visit the web to check their PF balance, file a withdrawal claim, or check passbook entries without visiting any EPFO office.
Download & Login:
Install it and Register using a mobile number, set up an MPIN for security, and download the UMANG app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Search EPFO Services:
Look for EPFO in the search bar on the homepage; click on the EPFO option listed.
Choose Employee-Centric Services:
Select the commonly used services under the Employee Centric Services option for possible withdrawals and claims.
Tap Raise Claim.
Select Raise Claim, input your UAN (Universal Account Number), and give a verification OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
Select Type of Withdrawal.
Depending on eligibility, there will be options in selecting whether to withdraw partially, fully, or pension withdrawal.
Give Details.
This will include bank particulars, reason for withdrawal, and upload required documents(includes PAN or Aadhaar if required).
Claim Submission:
Go through and hit Submit. An acknowledgment message will be fed once your claim has been successfully registered.

Track Your PF Claims Status
For status, click on Track Claim, and you will get the progress under the EPFO sub-system of the UMANG app. It mentions the status of your claim: under process, approved, or credit.
