Huawei has launched its latest foldable smartphone. The new model is called the Huawei Mate X7. This device replaces last year’s Mate X6. It is a book-style folding phone. The phone uses Huawei’s own powerful processor.
The base model is priced at CNY 12,999. That translates to roughly 1,63,700 rupees. It has 12GB RAM and 256GB storage as standard. The 12GB + 512GB version sells for CNY 13,999. Color selection includes five different options. There are colors available: White, Blue, and Purple. Red and Black are the ones to go for if you dare.
Along with the regular edition, an exclusive Collector’s Edition can be purchased. Enhanced storage and faster memory are the features of this one. The CNY 14,999 price tag is for the 16GB + 512GB model. The cost of the 16GB + 1TB model is CNY 15,999. Another, even more powerful model with 20GB RAM and 1TB storage is CNY 17,599.
The internal flexible display is 8″ LTPO OLED with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, a maximum brightness of 2500 nits, and other features. The main display of the device has a size of 6.49″ with a cover on the outside, but it also supports a refresh rate of 120Hz like the inner display, though it has a brightness of up to 3000 nits that gives it the advantage over the inner display.
It is powered by the Kirin 9030 Pro chipset, which is Huawei’s own processor. This chipset provides superior performance for any kind of application. It runs on Huawei’s HarmonyOS 6 operating system.
It has a triple rear camera system consisting of a primary 50 MP camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) plus a 40 MP ultra-wide angle lens to capture more of the scene and a 50 MP telephoto lens that is capable of 3.5x optical zoom.
The front has an 8 MP camera, which can be used for selfies and video calls. It includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support along with GPS and NavIC for navigation, along with a USB Type-C charging port.
The standard model has a 5600 mAh battery plus 66 W fast wired charging and 50 W fast wireless charging. The Collector’s Edition has a non-standard, slightly lower capacity battery of 5525 mAh.
