Harish Kanaran- Badusha Issue: The latest drama between actor Harish Kanaran and producer-production controller Badusha.- What started off as an unpaid dues scenario has now transformed into a public brawl, complete with contradictory stories from both sides.
Harish Kanaran previously alleged that he had lent ₹20 lakh to Badusha, out of which only a small portion was repaid. According to him, when asking the rest, he was allegedly cut off from films by Badusha for remodeling his house.
Harish said Badusha had alleged repayment in the wake of the film he produced, Vedikettu, being released. However, after it did not fare well at the box office, Badusha allegedly asked for time. Harish further stated that attempts to reach out thereafter went unanswered.
During his visit to theaters, he told YouTubers that Badusha had called him on the phone, promising that “the matter will be sorted out at the set,” thus insinuating that the matter was subject to compromise.
“He Didn’t Mention”
Badusha quickly retaliated with a strong denial, bringing the video of Harish’s statement along with an accusation that he grievously misrepresented the facts. “He has denied everything, including trying to call Harish or his wife.” Instead, he used Mollywood actor Nirmal to convey the message.
“I never said I would settle anything on set. After being humiliated so much in front of the public, what settlement is left?” Badusha stated in his post. He also stated that he would fully respond to the issue after the release of his upcoming film Rachel, which he is currently producing.
As both parties fortified themselves and heated the ongoing controversy, it was left to the industry to wait for Badusha to elaborate after Rachel’s release.
Until then, the dispute rages on regarding financial transactions and relations in the industry with the Malayalam film fraternity.
