Lock WhatsApp Account:
WhatsApp is one of the most used apps in every smartphone today. People use it for personal chats, office work, business communication, sharing photos, videos, and even important documents. Because of this, the app stores a lot of private information. If someone else opens your WhatsApp, your personal data may get exposed. To prevent this, WhatsApp offers a useful feature that allows you to lock your account with a PIN number. This extra step keeps your chats and details safe even if someone gets access to your phone.
WhatsApp’s Two-Step Verification helps you add a six-digit PIN to your account. You must enter this PIN whenever you try to log in on another phone. This simple feature adds strong protection and ensures only you can access your account.
1. Open WhatsApp and go to Settings.
2. Tap on Account.
3. Choose Two-Step Verification.
4. Select the option Set up PIN and turn it on.
5. Enter a six-digit PIN number, then confirm it by typing it again.
6. You will see an option to add your email ID. Adding email is helpful because it lets you reset your PIN if you forget it.
7. Type your email ID, click Save, and complete the verification by entering the six-digit code sent to your email.
Once this process is done, your WhatsApp is protected with a PIN.
If you want to disable this feature:
1. Open Settings → Account → Two-Step Verification.
2. Select Turn Off and confirm.
1. Go to Settings → Account.
2. Select Two-Step Verification.
3. Tap on Change PIN.

Setting a PIN on WhatsApp is a simple step, but it greatly improves your security. With this feature, you can be confident that your chats, documents, and personal details stay safe, even if someone tries to access your account on another device.
