Born on 19th July 1974, The New Delhi CM Rekha Gupta’s political journey started from her college days. She actively participated in Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and he student wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). This active participation in the organisations laid the road for her political journey.

Rekha Gupta has been an important member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). During her tenure, she held various positions within the BJP party. Rekha Gupta served the nation as a three-time councillor. Then she served as the mayor of the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC). During her period as mayor, she concentrated on developing urban infrastructure, sanitation and public services.
