Hyderabad Metro Expansion: Telangana CM Seeks PM Modi’s Nod

Hyderabad Metro Expansion: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy pleads with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Metro Rail Project Phase 2 approval in Hyderabad. Telangana CM also urged for Rs 20,000 crore in central assistance for the Musi River resurrection project. After Meeting with PM Modi, Revanth Reddy, Telangana CM candidly spoke to the reporters revealing the reasons for the delayed metro phase 2 approval. He claimed that the metro expansion was interfered with by negligence by the previous party BRS.


Hyderabad Metro Expansion

The new project proposes the expansion of 5 corridors spreading in the area of 76.4 km which will cost the estimated amount of Rs 24,269 crore. He further revealed that they needed immediate approval to move forward with the Metro Rail Project Phase 2 in Hyderabad. Revanth Reddy along with D Sridhar Babu, IT Minister of Telangana candidly discussed the issues related to the various states which include the long pending projects. They also mentioned the need for the allotment of additional IPS officers for the Telangana state.

CM Revanth urges PM Modi

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy also asked for the Centre’s support for of Musi Resurrection Project. Revanth Readdy further requested financial assistance of Rs 20,000 crore for the Musi project. He further explained the need for a massive budget and revealed the plans for the Musi Project. They planned to develop Bapu Ghat near the Isa and Musi Rivers. purification of Musi River They also wanted to construct 27 sewage treatment plants for maintain. Telangana CM also revealed that they wanted to build the retaining walls


He urged Modi to expedite the southern part of the Regional Ring Road (RRR), noting that 90% of the northern land acquisition is complete. He stressed the simultaneous development of both parts. The state will bear 50% of southern land costs. He proposed a Regional Ring Rail, a dry port, and a greenfield road and rail line. Revanth Reddy also requested approval for 29 more IPS posts and the India Semiconductor Mission project.
