Congress Party Suspends MLC Teenmaar Mallanna

In a significant move, Telangana Congress Party suspended MLC Teenmaar Mallanna, Chintapandu Naveen Kumar, for his anti-party activities. The Disciplinary Action Committee (DCA) of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) issued suspension order for his aggressive behavior and statements against the party.
Telangana Congress served show cause notice to him on February 5, seeking his response by February 12. Since he did not revert, the TPCC has suspended him from the party.

In the suspension order signed by DCA Chairman G Chinna Reddy, it said, “A show cause notice was issued to you on February 5 for indulging in anti-party activities and asked you to submit your explanation on or before February 12. But the DAC has not received any explanation from you so far and again you are continuing your tirade against the Congress party repeatedly. It also mentioned, “Hence, the DAC has decided to suspend you from the Congress in view of your anti-party activities.”

The action came immediately after Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan visited Telangana.

It all started when Teenmaar Mallana criticized the caste census survey report, which the Congress took prestigiously. He burnt the copies of it, saying that it had betrayed the Telangana BCs. Teenmaar Mallanna had slammed the Telangana Congress BC caste survey report on multiple platforms and occasions. The caste census was one of the major promises of the Telangana Congress made before state elections. Rahul Gandhi has been asking the BJP to conduct caste census surveys across the country.

TPCC Chief Mahesh Goud said every member must maintain discipline and adhere to its policies. The suspension of Mallanna has come from New Delhi and is a reminder of the party’s commitment to maintaining discipline and adherence to its policies.

Mallanna joined the Telangana Congress in November 2023 before the Telangana Assembly elections. After a few unsuccessful attempts, he finally won the 2024 Warangal-Nalgonda-Khammam graduate MLC bypoll.
